Ferris family legal documents 1756-1808

The Ferris family lived in Westchester and Otsego Counties, N.Y. The papers consist of deeds, 1756-1795, naming Gilbert Ferris, Joshua Ferris, Jonathan Ferris, David Ferris, Caleb D. Ferris, and Bette Ferris; a document, 1784, granting powers of attorney of Peter Amerman and Abraham Stoothoff to Jonathan Ferris; and a Sheriff's commission, 1808, granted to Benjamin Ferris of New York City. Also, a deed of release, 1772, granted to Gideon Hoornbeck from Elizabeth, Warner, Joel, Lawrence, Mary, and Elisa Hoornbeck.
